Finding Home Away from Home

As someone born in the United States, it has been hard to connect with my culture. I try to go back to Singapore to see my family every year and was even able to study abroad in Singapore last summer, but it has been hard to stay consistent.

Because of this feeling of disconnect, I wanted to try to find my community here in the Bay Area instead of flying on an airplane for 15 hours to Singapore. This is why I joined Kampong Collective. It allows me to find a community that I can connect with on a deeper level while staying in the Bay Area.
