We're hiring producers, storytellers, and creatives to help bring Southeast Asian culture to life across the U.S. Below are our currently open paid positions.
Spice & Story explores themes of identity, belonging, family, migration, and connection through stories inspired by Southeast Asian experiences. Audiences will journey through memories, relationships, and shared traditions that reveal how food, culture, and community shape who we are.
About the Production
- Production Dates: August 15–16, 2026
- Location: San Mateo Event Center, California
- Multiple performances across two days
- Interactive and immersive theater experience
- Paid roles available
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking performers who:
- Are based in the San Francisco Bay Area or able to work locally during the rehearsal and performance period
- Have acting experience in theater, film, or immersive productions
- Are comfortable performing in an interactive audience environment
- Can collaborate closely with directors, cast, and production team
- Bring authenticity, curiosity, and emotional depth to character work
- Are reliable, professional, and able to commit to the rehearsal process
We strongly encourage performers of all backgrounds to apply. Performers with personal or cultural connections to Southeast Asian communities are especially welcomed, though this is not required. While performers from all locations are welcome to apply, preference will be given to Bay Area–based talent who can actively participate in the rehearsal and creative development process.
Responsibilities
- Attend rehearsals and production meetings as scheduled
- Learn and perform assigned roles
- Collaborate in character development and storytelling
- Participate in live performances and audience interactions
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented creative environment
